Matthew Meylikhov was a writer, musician and editor, perhaps best known as the Founder and former Editor-in-Chief of the 2014 Eisner-nominated website Multiversity Comics. He was also a contributing writer for Paste Magazine, and has written for IGN, The Projection List, Tell Me Something and Sequart as well. He has also hosted panels for Dark Horse Comics and Image Comics, as well as participated on panels at Emerald City Comic Con, New York Comic Con and San Diego Comic Con.
Matthew has done work in the comic industry, most notable MGA Study Hall, a formerly-recurring column that offered annotations of the New York Times Best-Selling Image Comics series "Morning Glories." Excerpts of the column were featured in the single issues of the series alongside the satirical "Morning Glory Babies" strip, illustrated by series artistJoe Eisma. He has also written backmatter essays for Avatar ("UBER") and Black Mask Studios ("The Forevers"), and has done professional work in comics as a letterer for Image Comics, 215 Ink, and Monkeybrain Comics.
One time he self-published a novel and no one read it. If he is known for one thing, though, he'd honestly prefer it be Detective Space Cat.
Matthew currently lives in Massachussets, where we he works as a Support Manager at HubSpot and does not write. He lives with his wife and four cats. You can currently find him on Marveling at the Movies, a podcast on the Multiversity Comics Podcast Network.
